Silver Star Tap Dancers History

The Silver Star Tap Dancers were organized in August 1996. There were 3 students who had never had a tap dance lesson. A real challenge for Julie DiGulio who taught the class through March of 2002.
Frances Christian has taught the class since Julie's retirement. Frances is Mrs. Pasadena Senior 2002.
The non-dancers became dancers and attracted men and women who had danced previously. We now have 30 dancers who perform regularly. More dancers inquire and join us almost weekly. We will be glad to have more dancers who are at least 55 years old and have had some tap lessons.
The Silver Star Tap Dancers have appeared at Dedications, Health Fairs, Festivals, Parades, Fund Raisers, Mrs. Pasadena Pageants each year, Nursing Homes, Churches, AARP Chapters, Retiree Organizations, American Cancer Society, also a TV segment by Jonathan Walton on KTRH-TV "The Morning Show".
Our regular show is about 30 minutes but we can adjust our show to your time slot.
We have a Special Christmas Show which is very popular.
